A few essentials.

Privacy & visibility

The app requires sign-in. My space is visible only to the same account. Group content is visible to current members, with equal access for everyone. Spaces stay separate. Groups dissolve after 24 continuous hours without active content; eligible former members can still retrieve unexpired content on its original schedule.

Copies already downloaded or saved elsewhere do not disappear when the original content expires in yon.

Can I delete content early or extend its time?

The contributor can undo a new item within 60 seconds. After that, there is no manual delete or clear action, including in Recently deleted. Copy what you need, save it to your device. The rest expires on its own. Recently deleted is for retrieval, not restoring to the main list.

When copy, share or preview is unavailable

Use your device’s copy command or save locally. Preview support depends on the file and browser; download when preview is unavailable. Add screenshots by pasting or choosing an existing image—yon does not automatically read your screen.

Using yon on your phone

Open the app and sign in. Where your browser offers “Add to Home Screen”, use that option. Availability and placement depend on your system and browser.
